My research activities focus on the understanding of the physical properties of nanomaterials by means of theory and simulations, using a range of computational methods among others Density Functional Theory, Tight-Binding, Monte Carlo simulations. The current research is devoted to the prediction of various physicochemical properties of the novel 2D materials and van der Waals heterostructures.

Today we hosted Prof. Efrat Lifshitz from Technion (Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa). We spent a good day day sharing knowledge and having fruitful scientific discussions.
