LOCAL INFORMATION FOR INVITED SPEAKERS
You will arrive to International Frederic Chopin Airport in Warsaw. Your accommodation is booked at Mercure Hotel Grand on 28 Krucza Street, 00-522 Warszawa.
Take a taxi. The taxi price to the hotel should not exceed 30 PLN (about 8 EUR) during the working day and is twice as expensive at night or during the weekends.
It is strongly recommended to use only licensed taxis. These can be found in front of the exit from the arrivals hall. Do not use private services, which will be likely proposed to you by some people in the Airport Hall.
They will probably charge you much more.
Transport to the workshop venue (Środowiskowe Laboratorium Ciężkich Jonów - Heavy Ion Laboratory
ul. Pasteura 5A, 02-093 Warszawa) will be provided by a special bus,
which will depart from the Mercure Hotel Grand at 12.30, on Friday the 7th May as well as at 8.30 on Saturday the 8th May.
Please wait in the lobby and look for our staff, who will direct you to the bus.
The conference dinner will be served in Pałac Kazimierzowski (Kazimierzowski Palace) on the main campus of the University of Warsaw.
The easiest way to get there from the Mercure Hotel Grand is to take a bus from Plac Trzech Krzyży (Three Crosses Place),
which is about 300 m from the hotel (walk along Hoza Street).
Catch one of the following services: 116, 180, 195, 222, 503, E-2 from the bus stop PL. TRZECH KRZYZY 02 and go to the bus-stop UNIWERSYTET 02 (the 3rd or 2nd bus-stop).
