The Selection Committee of the Zdzisław Szymański Prize, after a thorough evaluation of candidates has decided to nominate

dr Michał Warda
from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin

for his work on nuclear symmetry energy probed by neutron skin thickness of nuclei.

The Diploma of the Prize for the year 2010 was awarded at the Mazurian Lakes Conference on Physics in Piaski, September 11-18, 2011, where the laureate delivered the lecture “Nuclear symmetry energy and neutron skin thickness”.
