SATURDAY, 27 July 2001 (9.00 – 14.30 hours)
Zelazowa Wola is located about 55 km. away from Warsaw. Visit
to Zelazowa Wola will give you the opportunity to see a charming Manor
House - typical in style for the Polish architecture of the 19th century
– the birthplace of the greatest Polish composer, Fryderyk Chopin. Restored
rooms of the manor house contain a small museum with a collection of family
portraits, furniture of the époque and other Chopin’s memorabilia.
After the tour of the house we will listen to the beautiful piano
concert. Chopin concerts have been organised there since 1954 at the initiative
of Professor Zbigniew Drzewiecki, eminent Polish pianist and pedagogue.
