Supersolid is a state of mater where both diagonal and off-diagonal long range orders are present. Physically it means that supersolid possesses the long range positional order of a crystal but it responses to movement like a superfluid, i.e. it flows without viscosity. In other words, the supersolid supports both the shear wave of the crystal and the superflow. We provide here pedagogical introduction into the theory of the supersolid and summarize a current state of the art in the experiment.
