"The higher symmetry group of string theory"
Streszczenie
We study the WZW 3-form of the classical Green—Schwarz superstring. We give a quick proof that it is closed, and show how it extends the super-Poincaré algebra to an algebraic structure called a `super Lie 2-algebra'. Viewing this as a infinitesimal object, we then give a geometric construction of a 'super Lie 2-group' integrating this algebra. Our talk will be aimed at nonexperts and focus on concrete examples.
