Chairmen Jan Dereziński ( e‐mail: jan.derezinski at fuw.edu.pl ) Javier de Lucas ( e‐mail: javier.de.lucas at fuw.edu.pl ) Marcin Napiórkowski ( e‐mail: marcin.napiorkowski at fuw.edu.pl ) Rafał R. Suszek ( e‐mail: suszek at fuw.edu.pl ) About the seminar This is the main seminar of the
Department of Mathematical Methods in Physics, with the
status of a colloquium. Its goal is to enhance
scientific interests, in particular those of the younger
members of staff, Ph.D. and M.Sci. students. Its motto
reads:
That which a young clever and well-prepared mathematical physicist ought to know. We invite outstanding experts from various fields, mainly those of mathematics and physics (also experimental). Speakers are expected to present — avoiding technical details — results and methods significant for their fields of expertise and potentially inspiring for the young and receptive mind. Rules The traditional form of the seminar
is a chalkboard lecture, although it is also possible to
give an electronic presentation. A natural criterion of
choice of the language of the lecture is the paramount
requirement of its transparency and accessibility to
non-specialists. Lecture notes are welcome and will
successively be made publicly available on the webpage Notes.
